Hello! My name is Chris McArdle. I've been capturing wedding days with amazing couples since 2013, and I love what I do! While I primarily shoot solo, my wife Ksenia is a super-talented videographer and photographer, and the opportunity for us to work together is a fantastic bonus!

I studied film and television production at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana (shoutout to Dave Letterman!), where in between classes, I wrote, produced, directed, and acted in exciting film and sketch comedy projects (though I wouldn’t mind if the sketch comedy videos stay hidden in the archives!).

In 2011, a friend convinced me to make a trek to the Outer Banks for the summer (a place I had never even heard of as a Hoosier), and right away I just fell in love with it. While attempting to surf and live a transient life as a wannabe beach bum, I also worked in production for commercials, Dare County Television, local news outlets, and even filming on a helicopter chasing fishing boats!

In 2013, the Outer Banks became my permanent home. Ksenia and I met on a film set not long after, and we have been married since 2016!

I love what I do for a lot of reasons. But a few favorites I can list would have to be listening to a heartfelt speech from a maid of honor, watching a dad try and fail to hold back tears during the father-daughter dance, watching a couple that’s deeply in love interact when we’re getting sunset shots; and years down the road knowing that they still watch their film on their anniversary!
